2.Massage your babies before her bed time is the best way to help your babies to sleep nicely. Always massage your baby 45 min after meal, else the baby will feel upsetness of stomach and sometimes may vomit also. Use your fingers and hands softly to massage full body of baby. When you massage your babies back, neck, legs, stomach, arms handle carefully all parts of your babies body. Massage any part of body in any one direction

3.For massaging new born you can use any edible oil and good options are coconut oil, olive oil, apricot oil, avocode oil or homemade ghee. In winter skip coconut oil as it would be too cold for new born babies, as mustard seed oil is very good for winter. You can make some homemade paste to do massage in winter. Take home butter add haldi mix it and can massage with this..It’s very good in winter. Badam oil is also a good option in winter. In short use any oil or homemade paste which is edible so it is easily absorbed in babies skin and if baby sucks its hands or fingers it goes to stomach and can be easily digested .Stay away from any baby oil or any minerals oil.

4.Use gentle rubbing motion. Dont massage with a force to new born babies. Use your softly your fingers and palms to massage full body

5.You can start from any part of the babies’ body. Massaging babies chest and tummy has the profound calming effect. Massage the chest from center of the chest to outside part away from the heart. Then massage stomach clockwise in rubbing motion. This release gas of the babies stomach if any and also improves the digestive system of babies.

Massage hands from up to down till palm in clock wise direction of full hands.try to give a soft massage to fingers also.

 BATHING

1.Your baby s first bath is a real good experience and a big deal. But mostly many parents don’t know where and how to start the first bath.A new born baby is given bath 2 to 3 times in a week is probably enough.

2.Give sponge bath till there umbilical cord stumps comes out or falls. Lay your baby on flat surface or on a clean n thick towel is best. For the first week or so it’s best to give your baby to give sponge baths with warm water. Wash his hands and face frequently.

3.Then wet the sponge with warm water and clean all parts of the body with a wet sponge and then with a soft towel dry all areas which are wet. As if the cord becomes wet and may cause some infection or puss so try to keep it dry so that it may fall soon. Once the cord has fallen your baby is read for real bath.

4.Many parents bath their babies daily, but until your baby is crawling around and getting into mess and becomes dirty there is no need of bathing them daily.More of bathing can make their skin dry. When you bath your new born baby you find it little afraid for the first time, but handling carefully and doing it regularly will make a good practice.

Have a safe and happy massage and bathing practice.
