Guess if you are going to take part in any competition what will be you feeling?  Your heart beats will be at highest as if they are racing and stomach will be upside down...Right? When this is your position while you are grown up just think how will a child of 4 years or 8 years feel? So for every parent it’s a very big task how to make your child ready for his 1st competitions. Having your child compete at a young age is a great way to not only build skills but also to develop personal skills such as character sportsmanship and confidence. When the competition wrong than it’s the rarely a child problem…But will be the other way round: it may be bad coaching or miss guided by parents.

Here are the few tips how to make your child ready for his 1st competition:

1. PRACTICE MAKES MEN PERFECT:

Before any type of competition it is very important to always practice. It’s said that practice makes men perfect. Give your child practice as much as possible before their competition. This doesn’t mean that you should be on high intensity practice. Your kid should be in comfortable position while he or she is doing practice for any competition. Make them practice any particular twice or thrice a day nicely. That will be enough for a child. Don’t give overburden by making them practice whole day. With this the child will lose interest and will feel very tiresome.

2. FUN:

There is a question that how will you develop an interest in your kid for anything?
For that you need to keep the atmosphere light and create fun in teaching them for competition. While you are training your child, keep the connection between you n your child a fun type relation so that child enjoys and can be trained nicely. For example if you are making your child ready for a fancy dress competition, select the character which is interesting fun making. So that the child can understand the character and when you give them lines about that character he will be able to speak on it easily. Thus by making fun only they can learn many things, which can’t be learned by scolding or beating.

3. SELECT YOUR CHILDS TOPIC WISELY:

You should select the topic for competition wisely, which your kid can perform..Select the topic such a way that your child will be able to perform. For example if there is story telling competition, select the story according to your child’s age. If he is 4 years then select that type of story that they can remember and should be short. As 4 year child can’t remember all big and tough stories. Don’t select any topic because your friend has selected. Please it’s a request to all parents don’t join the parent race in this situation. Don’t forget that its child’s competition and not parents! Keep in mind that taking part in competition is more important than to win.

Support your child in his starting of carrier he will always do well.

For developing a good relation with your child, it is very important to involve yourself with your child. For that you have to become same as the age of your child. IMPORTANCE OF COLORS AND SHAPES IN TODDLERS LIFE

Mostly in starting of school’s that is playgroup or at home in starting of age kids are taught about colors and shapes…

Why is this? Anyone has any idea?

This is because when kids are very small they are always attracted to different colors and shapes. Generally kids see the bright colors and different shapes and they just keep on staring at that and they feel happy and always play with that colors and shapes. That  might be their own cloth or their moms or any bed sheet of their bed or anything around them… They feel so much happy by seeing the bright colors… You might have seen kids smiling and laughing while seeing different shapes and colors. By seeing it they can identify different things around them.

Colors and shapes in early stage attract kids too much.

IMPORTANCE OF COLORS AND SHAPES:

So in preschool they start teaching with colors and shapes and not with numbers and alphabets. Children should learn about it  before learning about numbers and alphabets. Learning about colors and shapes will help kids to learn about numbers and alphabets easily. As when your kid develops the ability to differentiate between colors and shapes they will automatically use that skill in how to differentiate between numbers and alphabets.

By learning colors and shapes kids can learn also the names of color and shapes too. You can make flash cards of color by writing the name of color with the color of it. For example: you can write red color letter on flash card with red color pencil or sketch pen only so by seeing the color they can identify that its red color. Same way for shapes also you can write square name in a square box and write circle name in the circle box. So by this child can easily learn identifying shapes and colors. As in starting of age some kids are not ready to eat  specific kind of shapes or color food or fruits or are not ready to play with specific type of toy also. This means they are developing the skill to identifying shapes and colors.

SORTING SHAPES AND COLORS:

Sorting and matching colors and shapes can help kids learn all types of color and shapes.  You can give puzzles related to it. You can give different types of colorful things, for eg. You can give different fruits or vegetable for teaching colors. Red for apple or tomatoes and green cucumber or pear. Like this fruits and vegetables also help in learning shapes also. Animals also can help in learning shapes. You can give different types of shaped animals and ask them to sort out, which will be fun play with learning something new also. When your child is sorting different shapes and colors they are using one of the most basic educational skill that is observing same shape and color. You can play some games related to it with your child. You can take any object and can put it on table and can ask your child to sort different colors and shapes. You can also play different games which are available on internet. They are also very helpful to kids, as they will enjoy playing and will definitely learn the concept of sorting shapes and colors.

I have a very good and educational game of application for you all parents. Just download/install  it and give your child to play with it. I assure you parents, they will definitely learn something new and the will clear the concept of sorting colors and shapes.

Please I request to all parents to try it once, you’ll definitely like it

TIPS TO PREPARE YOUR KIDS FOR EXAM

As its exam time now a days so mostly all parents are in dilemma how to make kids ready for exam….Children in prep sections didn’t had so much to prepare for exams so it’s a very important time for parents to prepare their children for exams when they are promoted to primary classes….Even children also feel anxious or upset about their exams. To help our kids we have to first ourselves get ready for the exam of our kids. You can’t go and attempt exams in behalf of your kid, but can help your kids to study and support in all necessary way you can.

So the most common question for a parent is how I shall make my kid ready for exams?

1. GO THROUGH THE TIME TABLE AND SYLLUBUS OF KIDS:

Generally kids from 1st standard get exams. And school provides timetable and syllabus before 1 month in advance. So parents needs to go through the timetable nicely and can set the timetable of study on that basis for preparation for exams. Go through the syllabus so that you can come to know that what materials you need to prepare and what materials you have. And if anything is missing you can plan in advance, and get it from the teacher of respective subject.

2. MAKE NOTES FOR KIDS TO LEARN FROM:

First of all when you get the syllabus make some important notes for the work done in class and all revisions work in a single book so that kids can learn form that one notes for respective subjects. It is better to have all notes in one then to search here and there at the last moment.  Make point wise notes which are easy for kids to learn and remember. Also note down some important point which will help your kid in studying for exam. Make a habit of reading whole chapters in each subject again and again, as with this they will be able to answer any twisted questions asked from any corner of the chapter. Make them to learn all formulas and tricks for math’s subjects.

3. MAKE QUESTIONS PAPERS:

While making question papers you can refer to their text books, note books and all revision going on in class…You can make twisty questions from any corner of the chapter…. You can join all this and make a good paper for kid’s exam. And make them do that paper a day before that exam. As now a day’s many website is available where you can get all question papers of all subjects and of all standards….You can even use this websites for making a papers for different subject, so that you can get different and new questions for preparing your kid.

4. SELECT A STUDY AREA:

You need a peaceful environment to make your kid study. The place should be warm and good enough to make your kid comfortable. It should be properly ventilated. The room in which you’re making your child study should be a quiet place. There should be no disturbance of TV or any other things, So that your child can concentrate on their study. When your child is studying there should be pin drop silence, if not possible there should me b minimum noise of disturbance. Always prefer a studying table, so that your child sits erect. Else if you sit on bed or any other place child will feel lazy and will lie down while studying.

5. SELECT STUDY TIME:

It is very important to fix the time of study for kids before exams. Fix any particular time for study. Minimum before 1 month you should start making schedule for regular study in afternoon or evening after your child comes from school. You should make plan to study at least for an hour or two in weekdays, and give them off in weekends as they need some time for relax and can spend some time with their father and younger or elder one. In short weekend should be time spend with family. Set a schedule when your child will study on each day during exams. By making a suitable schedule for kids, it will encourage them to study and won’t get bored with the studying timetable.

6. SUITABLE BREAKS FROM THE STUDY TIME:

When you set time for study, make sure you give kids some break from studies. As continuous studying may be boring to kids and they may lose concentration. A short break of 15 to 20 minutes after every 1 hour is a good idea to improve the efficiency of studying and can reduce stress also. You can give some refreshments juice or milk and something healthy to eat so that their power of studying increases.

HOPE THIS TIPS IS HELPFUL TO YOU PARENTS…ALL THE BEST…

PROBLEMS KIDS FACE WHILE FIRST EXAMS OF LIFE

As its exams time now days so let’s talk on this topic today….Generally now a day’s kids don’t have exams in prep sections. As in nursery, junior kg or senior kg kids don’t have exams, they only have assessments. Assessments is like teachers take assessments while playing or doing any activities so that kids don’t have pressure about the exams… Then in many schools kids have exams from 1st standard itself while in many schools kids have assessments patterns like prep section till 5th standard. So its but obvious that kids will face some common problems related to exams.

Children have hard time to adjust in new atmosphere when they came in primary class, more work load then senior kg and class teacher is new and all that. Let’s talk about some common problems which kids face after coming in standard 1.

1. CONCENTRATION:

Concentration is main part of good studies. Many kids prepare for exams by reading or just going through their subjects and chapters, but they are unable to grasp the main point because they are not able to concentration on that idea, which is a common problem. As they didn’t concentration in prep sections as there they didn’t find any need to concentration. It was like play and learns. So for that kids need proper sleep, food and a good time of playing which will make them fresh and will able to concentration. Kid should be given short breaks while they are studying so that they don’t get bored and get fresh so that they can concentrate.

2. STRESS:

One of the common problems with the student is to get stressed. As they didn’t had any exam system in prep section they are not use to learn many things all together and can take all learning together. They may get fear also that how will they complete the exams in time. They may fear they will fail in exams and this is the reason they will be over stressed and won’t be able to study properly. So parents should make them understand not to taking over pressure which in turn will give them bad result.

3. TIME OF EXAM:

As they hadn’t sat for exam in smaller standards so they don’t have habit of sitting for 2 hours or more. So this is a problem generally kids face. As in today’s generation mostly kids are hyper active and can’t sit in one place. So when kids go in higher standard they will face this problem of sitting for exam for long time. For this parents should make habit of making sit there kids for giving test at home only, so that they can learn how to sit for exams.

4. HURRY IN FINISHING EXAM:

Mostly all kids have a competition of finishing exams first, as if there is any award of finishing exam first. So kids are in hurry of finishing exams as soon as possible, so that they can tell their friends that they had finished the exam before their friends, no matter how he wrote the exam. So in this hurry they don’t skip many questions and write wrong answers.

5. PLAYFULL NATURE:

Kids age of 5 to 8 years are still of playful nature. They always think of playing games and going out for playing with friends so they are unable to study which results they face problems in exams…Its but natural that kids of this age will like playing more, but its parents duty to turn them slowly towards studies. To overcome this situation you can start with lots of time of playing and sometime of studies. Slowly and steadily you can increase the time of studies.

Problems are difficult to solve but not impossible

HOW TO FEED SOLID FOOD TO TODDLERS

When your baby is ready for solid food and you have got a signal from your child specialist to start solid food, try it on a day when your baby is in good mood and not cranky. Have your baby sit between your lap or in a higher chair with support all side, as 6 month baby can sit straight then also support is needed while feeding solid food.

Do not make your baby eat if they are crying or turn away when you feed solid food to them. Go back to the breast milk. One of the easy ways to feed solid foods to your baby is to give your baby a little breast milk and then switch to very small amount of solid food and then finish it with more of breast milk. This will prevent your baby from getting frustrated when she is very hungry. For the first time feeding solid food, give 1 to 2 tsp of semi liquid food to babies after breast feeding them. Use soft tipped spoon to feed your baby to avoid injury to their gums and mouth. Take small amount of food in the tip of the spoon and feed them.

Solid food differs for all tradition. Many have tradition to start the solid food with some sweet food like kheer or liquid form of shira. One of the easy ways is to start with light and semi liquid food for toddlers. Start with a small quantity of food. Baby will be unable to consume more food at starting age. As they are not use to it. It’s always said anything needs time. So give time to baby to get use to it.

Food you start must be in very fine paste or puree form so that baby can swallows it easily and can digest easily. As the kid of 6 months are not having teeth for chewing so make puree of any solid food and feed them so that they can accept easily. Always make a fine puree of any food you give to child with the blender or in mixer. Else if they will be uneasy to swallow the solid food for babies which can affects their health or they will have disinterest for solid food and will continue to breast milk as it’s easy for them to accept the breast milk.

After 6th month baby needs more nutrients besides breast milk. As they grow they need more food to develop there all parts, as they play more and start to walk on stomach or may be try to walk on their leg also. All nutritious values should be added in babies’ food, so that they can get all nutrition’s and vitamins which are need after 6 month.

Give different variety of food to child so that they may create an interest in eating solid food. Else getting same taste or same food will get them bored and will discontinue it. A good diet should contain all mineral, vitamins and calcium.

You should start with any one food and have to look at the reactions of child s body, How does body of child react after eating particular food. Do they get vomiting, diarrhea or any other reaction. If child is getting any of this reaction. You must stop that particular food for time being.

As the immune system and digestive system of child is just developing so they may take time to be use to solid food. So feed them in small quantity and then slowly and steadily can increase the quantity as and how required.

Feeding solid food to babies for first few times will make spill on their face and hand and stomach, and they will be full of solid foods on their body, but don’t get upset. It will be fine after some feeding training. So start with 1 to 2 tsp of food so that baby gets time to learn how to swallow the solid foods.

When you are feeding solid food to your baby first time, it’s a great deal. You should record all the things your baby does for a sweet memory. Same way when you first start the solid food that should also be recorded. It helps you to see the reaction and different mood of your baby. In short sit with a camera while feeding the baby so that u can capture each and every moment of babies reaction with the different taste of solid food.

Have a sweet start of solid food and capture all memories for life time.
