 MASSAGE

1.You can start your baby's gentle massage with the day you bring them home. Make infant massage part of your daily routine. Massage helps in stimulating your babies growth, boost there immune system and makes there digestive system healthy.

2.Massage your babies before her bed time is the best way to help your babies to sleep nicely. Always massage your baby 45 min after meal, else the baby will feel upsetness of stomach and sometimes may vomit also. Use your fingers and hands softly to massage full body of baby. When you massage your babies back, neck, legs, stomach, arms handle carefully all parts of your babies body. Massage any part of body in any one direction

3.For massaging new born you can use any edible oil and good options are coconut oil, olive oil, apricot oil, avocode oil or homemade ghee. In winter skip coconut oil as it would be too cold for new born babies, as mustard seed oil is very good for winter. You can make some homemade paste to do massage in winter. Take home butter add haldi mix it and can massage with this..It’s very good in winter. Badam oil is also a good option in winter. In short use any oil or homemade paste which is edible so it is easily absorbed in babies skin and if baby sucks its hands or fingers it goes to stomach and can be easily digested .Stay away from any baby oil or any minerals oil.

4.Use gentle rubbing motion. Dont massage with a force to new born babies. Use your softly your fingers and palms to massage full body

5.You can start from any part of the babies’ body. Massaging babies chest and tummy has the profound calming effect. Massage the chest from center of the chest to outside part away from the heart. Then massage stomach clockwise in rubbing motion. This release gas of the babies stomach if any and also improves the digestive system of babies.

6.Massage the head and face in circular motion. Massage their back in circular motion to rub their shoulder and lower back.

7.Massage their legs and feet, give light pressure on their thighs with help of your forefingers and thumb. Smoothly stroke their legs from their thighs down to her feet, then rub her feet with your thumbs, curl and uncurl her toes and fingers lightly. Then massage their hands nicely and gently. Massage hands from up to down till palm in clock wise direction of full hands.try to give a soft massage to fingers also.

Do some exercise while doing massaging of legs and hands.

 BATHING

1.Your baby s first bath is a real good experience and a big deal. But mostly many parents don’t know where and how to start the first bath.A new born baby is given bath 2 to 3 times in a week is probably enough.

2.Give sponge bath till there umbilical cord stumps comes out or falls. Lay your baby on flat surface or on a clean n thick towel is best. For the first week or so it’s best to give your baby to give sponge baths with warm water. Wash his hands and face frequently.

3.Then wet the sponge with warm water and clean all parts of the body with a wet sponge and then with a soft towel dry all areas which are wet. As if the cord becomes wet and may cause some infection or puss so try to keep it dry so that it may fall soon. Once the cord has fallen your baby is read for real bath.

4.Many parents bath their babies daily, but until your baby is crawling around and getting into mess and becomes dirty there is no need of bathing them daily.More of bathing can make their skin dry. When you bath your new born baby you find it little afraid for the first time, but handling carefully and doing it regularly will make a good practice.

Have a safe and happy massage and bathing practice.

CARE TAKEN FOR NEW BORN BABIES

Bringing  a baby is a very beautiful experience..By giving birth to a baby you have brought home your little bundle of joy.Though taking care of your new born can be one of the most special and rewarding experience of your life.To take care of a new born, you need to know how to give a your baby the rest and care to be taken which babies need and also healthy dose of love and affection. If you are a old parent its fine as you have brought a kid previously you might be trained parent and may know all tips for bringing up babies...But if you haven't spent a lot of time around a new born or you are a new parent ,its very tough to bring up a new born...Many care should be taken for bringing up a new born..

Today here i am going to give some tips for a new parent...

When a baby is born and comes in this world,it’s a very new atmosphere for a baby.

1.SLEEPING TIMINGS:

New born babies need its mother every minute and sleeps 16 hours a day or more also.New born sleeps continuous for 2 to 4 hours. So don’t expect much that they will sleep full night. As there storage system of food is too small so they will need milk which is there food every 2 to 3 hours. So they may awake in middle of night 3 to 4 times for feeding..Some babies sleep nicely and some may not,so its not a big deal.It varies for babies to babies.Like adult also babies will create there own sleeping habit in future. Many babies have there days and night mixed up so they tend to sleep more in day and awake in night. For this you can always do this : keep the stimulation at night to a minimum and keep lights low such as by using night lamps very light.Reserve talking and playing with your babies for day time.

2.SWADDLING A BABY:

Swaddling means wrapping a baby in a blanket or any dupattas. Swaddling works well for babies for starting few weeks,is a very important technique new parent should learn.Swaddling keeps a baby secure as it was in mothers stomach..It helps to sleep nicely and for longer time also..

*Spread out the blanket or dupatta and make and fold top corner in middle and make a triangle shape.
*Place your baby face up in middle of blanket and with his or her head up the folded blanket.
*Wrap the left corner over the body and tuck it beneath the back of the baby, going under the right arm.
*Bring the feet down n make straight. And bring the bottom corner up over the babies feet and pull it towards the head, folding the fabric down if it gets close to face.
*Wrap your right corner around the baby and tuck it under the babies back on the left side leaving only the neck and head exposed.

NOTE:Make sure that your baby is not too tightly wrapped as they will have problem in breathing and chances of dysplasia increases…

Also make sure that the blanket is not loosely tied else it will come out as if you have not wrapped it.
