Feeding
kids can be one of the toughest job that a parent find, it is also the most
satisfying and stressful part of parenting and many of us have given up with
the fear some mealtime standoff at a time. The food your child eats in winter
can influence whole year for them. So eating healthy food is very important.
Once child starts eating solid foods, you are likely to find that some of the
meals you so lovingly prepare and are rejected by kids. But don’t be
discouraged it’s perfectly normal but it is an good idea to make a good routine
as soon as possible…
So here
are some of favorite recipes that your kids should surely have in cold winter...
Bajara is
one of the ingredients that is very healthy for winter. Bajara thepla is not
thin as a normal thepla but a little thicker. Its 100% a very healthy and
filling breakfast or dinner in winter….
BAJARA METHI THEPLA:
INGREDIENTS:
Bajara atta
(millet flour)- 1cup
Methi chopped
(fresh fenugreek leaves)- 1 cup
Asafetida
(hing) - 1/4th tsp
Haldi (turmeric
powder) - 1/2tsp
Red chili
powder- 1tsp
Ginger+chilli+garlic
paste- 1 tsp
Salt to
taste
Oil for
shallow frying
Water as
needed
METHOD:
1.Mix bajara, methi, asofoetida,
salt, haldi, red chill powder,garlic+chilli+ginger paste, and add enough water
and knead a semi stiff dough.
2. Heat a
tawa, grease your hand with oil and divide the dough in equal parts then roll
into balls. Now pat each ball in between your hands and make a thick thepla (rotis).
3. Place
this thepla rotis in tawa and cook on slow flame and cook it by flipping and
apply oil on both side and cook well.
4.. Now
take the thepla on a tissue paper so that oil gets sucked by tissue paper.
Serve hot…
Serve
it with garlic and green coriander chutneys….
