Sides Effects of Over Expectations...

If u expect your children to make you always happy, then you will definitely be       disappointed..........

Children are gift of God to parents.......
Having a kid is a joy, a challenge, a pain, a miracle and many more things. Many say parenting is always wonderful experience but how many agrees to it?????

Every parent has a responsibility for their kids. As a parents love their kids so much that, they even expect the same from them. They expect kids to show much appreciation for whatever they have done for them. There is no relationship that is perfect. Amazing reward and difficult suffering is offered by kids means you should be ready to accept their thoughts and dont set a bar too high for them. Expectation from children is a tricky task for parents.

If you expect too much from your kids they may be discouraged as they will come to know that they will not be able to fulfill your expectation and can give up.....

Expect too little from kids then might they can meet your expectation and can try more than your expectation....

Our expectation from child should be positive and realistic.

We should have a good communication with child so that we can convey them through our talks and behavior that we have trust in them and believe in them that they can do their best. Expectation is easy to talk to, but its too hard to keep control on it...We have unrealistic expectation from kids and we forget very fast that they are at the age of learning and developing. We also expect that our kids should know everything which we knew. In this we forget to concentrate on Child development progress, their capabilities of understanding, their technique of learning and so many of parents get irritated at their kids for just being a kid still. We also give more lectures to our kids and our demand from them is very high. Punishing kids doesn't teach kids good way to act.

There are some side effects of over expectation which I would like to share with you all parents:

1. LOSE INTEREST:

When you expect more from kids they would think that if he does it and is not able to do, you would scold them and so they; would avoid to do that particular things even if they are master in it. They will lose interest in doing that things which they once loved to do. For e.g.: if your child loves drawing and scatting and suddenly if he refuse to do it. means there is a pressure from your side somewhere. So have a calm and soft talk with them and find out the reason behind it.

2. STOPS SHAREING ANYTHING:

Your kid will stop sharing their fears and faults with you. Because they know if you will come to know then you ll be too disappointed and unhappy with them. They should feet that there is someone to support to their failure and fear. Parents should be a safe place where they can share everything, so that they can be open to you fully, and you should support them in all their good and bad times.

3. CHILD GETS WORN-OUT/DOWN:

When your child shows any type of mood changing or if he feels tiered up very fast, it its just because his plate is already too full or the pressure from your side is very high. Those kids who are pushed up hard by their parents has many types of stress.

4. MISBEHAVIOUR:

Some kids many become stressed and dont speak or react or become sad and depressed and show their emotions, but some kids cant control showing there emotions. So they show their stress and depression by misbehaving in school, homes or any public places. They may get angry and do any misbehaving act...It can harm their future also.

5. INCREASE NEGATIVITY IN CHILD:

If you constantly say to your child about their negative side like "you don't study nicely, you will lose your marks if you don't study, you don't know how to study" this type repetition of negative statements makes a child create negative nature you should support your child positively.

Seeing the side effects, hope parents try to improve themselves and help kids to grow naturally and uniquely....

NEVER COMPARE YOUR CHILD WITH OTHERS

In present age, where competition is at the top in every walk of life, every parent wants his/her child to be topper. So this comparison comes in their mind fastly. But some parent’s main aim of comparison is to encourage their kids and generate a competitive nature in kids, so that this nature of kids can give them a push to forward to fulfill the capabilities of doing their best. Competitiveness is definitely a driving force towards a best performance. But examine carefully:

IS IT WORKING WITH YOUR CHILD?

Every child is different. No kids are same in this universe. They have different talents, interest, and different ways of learning different things. And comparing them at each and every step will just not help for kids. You should make them understand how to be better in their job and not to be better than their competitor.

Always ask yourself: Are you a perfect parent???

And definitely the answer you will get is NO...So always remember neither you can be a perfect parent nor your child can you child be a perfect son or daughter in every field like academics, sports or any other activities. Everyone in this universe has a different challenges and situation differs from person to person and house to house. Even if you are a parent of 2 kids of different of same age just watch them carefully, they will also differ in their abilities, talents, and skills. Just be happy and proud with your child what he is and what he can do...

It’s said comparison is the end/death of joy and happiness of a child......

Here are some of important reasons why not to compare your kid to other kid....

1. KILLS PARENT CHILD RELATIONSHIP:

It is but clearly when a child is always compared with his friends, cousins or neighbors, he will think that he cannot do something that you want and you are always unhappy with him. So he will always get hurt by your taunt, so he’ll try to keep distance with you. This may make your child feel insecure and will never trust you and would never share any things with u. This may in turn crush his future.

2. SHY NATURE:

If your kid is always taunted by in comparison, he will never show anything new in him to you or will always be shy in exposing his inner talent. His skills won’t come out as he will think that as he shares or shows something new to you, you will compare it to others and won’t give a compliments to him so he will grow up with a shy nature and this will make him or her a shy kid.

3. STRESS:

When compared to other child, your child s stress level may increase. Your aim should not to pressurize your kid to perform well, but should calmly talk to him that what things is bothering him which is affecting his performance and can find solutions to it.. Parents should encourage his good things to boost his level of confidence.

4. LOWER SELF CONFIDENCE:

One of the important and crucial reasons not to compare your child to others it will hurt their self confidence and lose confidence in doing any job and feel worthless. And will never try to do anything which they can.

5. REVENGE NATURE/JEALOUSY NATURE:

If you keep on comparing your child with any other, then he or she will suffer with a jealousy. It can be any child neighbor’s classmate, siblings etc. Which in turn comes to revenge nature? The child can harm the other child in revenge nature.

6. CREATE SELF-DOUBT:

If someone tells us that we are not good at anything and whereas our friends is master in that, then slowly and steadily we will create a doubt in our mind, so same is with our children, they will also wonder that they are not so good enough at any particular job. So our aim and main object as a parent is to encourage our kids at every step they take, and don’t make them feel that there is someone ahead to them.

7. MAKE THEM UNIQUE/LET THEM GROW AT THERE OWN SPACE:

Child hood is not a race to get top medals. Try to encourage your kid to believe in himself/herself and help them to try to develop their own interest and abilities. Sometimes in very starting age, for e.g.: at the age around 2 if any kid is not speaking clearly or fully then parent will start worrying that my child doesn’t speak clearly or fully and compares their kid with her friend kid or any other kid that her friends kids did all at this age. Now see this parent starts comparing their kid right from so early age. This is also not good sign for growing kids. So don’t worry for all that your child will learn everything till they reaches there specific destination…Give them time to do grow at their own space and create some unique qualities.

No one thing is better than another and neither one child is better than another. Let them grow naturally and develop their own interest and ability to do things at their own unique style.

SO NOW PLEASE TRY TO CREATE A HABBIT NOT TO COMPARE YOUR CHILD TO OTHERS BUT BOOST THEM FOR WHAT THEY ARE:
