FOOD TO BE EATEN BY NEW MOMS AFTER DELIVERY PART-2




There are many healthy food eaten in delivery.And there are some traditional food which is very healthy and important for moms and babies also.As you have lost many vitamins and minerals from your body you have to take care of your self also after delivery. Eating healthy will help you to recovery very fast. At least for 45 days whether you like or no but you have to follows some medicines foods to be eaten.

Here are some foods which can be used to be eaten as medicines also,as it helps in recovery you fast.


DRY FRUITS:

Dry fruits like almond and cashunuts are very rich in carbohydrates and vitamins and fiber, contains minerals like copper, zinc, potassium and calcium. Dry fruits can be used in many recipes such as badam halwa, badam and cashunuts milk, sheera and also can be ate roasted in ghee.

MILLET (BAJARA, RAGI)




Millet is a good source of obtaining energy for delivered mom. Wheat flour should be skipped if possible. You can make roti’s of bajara and ragi.It contains calcium and iron which is needed in plenty after delivery. It can help in regaining strength and energy.


SAUNTH (GINGER POWDER)

Saunth contains fiber,vitamin E and B 6, magnesium,potassium,iron and manganese. You can use ginger powder to make your milk in morning and night. Saunth laddoes are very famous in Gujarat after delivery it’s very important to eat. It consists of saunth, jaggery, and ghee. It helps baby to keep its stomach safe from gas and upsetness. Saunth powder can also be used in sheera or any sabji which is made for delivered moms.

AJWAIN (CAROM SEEDS):



It is traditional believed that ajwain is good source of thymol,not only smooth’s pain of stomach but also give relief from indigestion's and cleans uterus. You can use ajawain in many dishes like parathas or sheeras (halwas) made in morning for breakfast. Roasted Ajwain is also eaten with roasted til(sesame seeds) after breakfast,lunch,and dinner. So that what you have eaten can be digested easily.

TURMERIC:
Turmeric contains vitamin b 6 and C, fiber, potassium and magnesium. Not only it is used in Indian cooking but is also very famous in healing external and internal wounds also. It helps in healing post pregnancy wounds and cure stomach disorders. You can take turmeric milk regularly after delivery at least for 3 months. You can also take fresh turmeric in your lunch and dinner. You have to peal the skin and just cut it in to pieces and add lemon and salt. It tastes is somewhat bitter but it’s very important to eat in delivery. And helps moms and baby both in several ways.

 GARLIC:
Garlic is a popular ingredient, which brings the flavor of food.From ancient days, garlic has a big medicinal benefits. Garlic if eaten in delivery is very benefited.But should be eaten in a limited quantity. You can use it in any subji you make or any daal also.You can include in your bajara s rotis also.It contains essential minerals,vitamins and amino acids which helps in improving the health condition of lactating moms.As it has medical properties it is many time used to treat indigestion ,swelling or infection
